Top Tips for Beating the Crowds this Winter

Top Tips for Beating the Crowds this Winter

It’s easy to see why so many flock to the mountains every winter, to enjoy their own piece of the piste, but unfortunately, the experience can be marred a little when the slopes are so overcrowded that you can’t truly enjoy yourself. While it won’t detract from the holiday as a whole, many people (particularly beginners) will feel on edge if there’s too many people zooming past them, and queuing for the ski lifts can be a real pain. If you’d love the idea of a skiing holiday but would prefer not to be fighting with other ski enthusiasts for the next gondola ride, there are plenty of ways in which you can avoid the crowds this season.

Andorra-A Shopping Paradise

Andorra-A Shopping Paradise

When I first planed my trip, I knew I need to passby Barcelona in order to get to Malaga from Lisbon. Since I want to go to as many country as possible during this trip, I knew that I want to go to Andorra because it’s so close to Barcelona. There’s NO airport in Andorra and the best way to get there is to take a shuttle from BNC airport. However, to me It’s a miracle that I can get into this tiny country before dark because I landed at 3pm and the shuttle run at 3:15 pm that day:P. I can say I am such a lucky girl because if I didn’t catch that shuttle, I need to wait for another 2 hours for the next shuttle.

On the shuttle, I talked to the local people regarding Andorra and I asked them the things to do in Andorra. Then they asked me how long I planed to stay there. Well, that’ the point, I will only stay there for A DAY!! When I do my research, I found out that Andorra is a Ski resort town but I do not plan to ski over there. That’s why I decided only to spend on day there. But to my surprise, this country is MORE than just a Ski or hiking place! Why? Well, if you see the price of cigarette and Booze are cheaper than the Duty free at the airport, you will all understand why:P!!!!

Lake Placid-Winter Olympics

Lake Placid-Winter Olympics

2012 London Olympics is going to close today and the next Olympics will be in Brazil. Until then, there are still a lot of things going on for people who love Sports, for example the Winter Olympics. Last year, I have the opportunity to stay in the 4 Diamonds White Face Lodge for 3 nights. The price for one night stay cost about US$480 during Thanks Giving Period. Luckily, I do not have to pay at all because there was a party going on over there and I got invited to stay there for free:) This lodge is truly amazing and there are tons of activity for tourist to do-eg Skiing at the Olympics resort where the 1980 Winter Olympics game took place and Bobsledding at the Real Olympics track.
