Most consider Las Vegas one of the gaudier vacation destinations in the world, and not always in a good way. The bright lights, constant noise, and vibrant fashions of Vegas can certainly be fun for the right crowd, but if you’re looking for a stylish and classy vacation destination they can come across as a bit on the tacky side. But it’s also important to realize that “tacky” is becoming an outdated term in Vegas. “New” Vegas is a bit classier and more elegant.
I was in Vegas 3 years ago and always think of going back. This was because I have chosen the enhanced options of Vegas – which you can find in a single, sparkling resort: the ARIA. It’s a resort where class outshines gimmicks and the focus is on class and style. Here are a few specific highlights from a trip to this resort, specifically for those of you who are concerned with fashion and class.
The Shops At Crystals
The ARIA’s own modern shopping complex, Shops At Crystals is like nothing else in Vegas. Of course, every resort has some high-end shopping options (or at least most of them do), but at Crystals you’ll find an insane selection of world-class brands for clothing, jewelry, etc. Not only that, but there are also occasional fashion shows and events at Shops At Crystals, making this location a perfect destination for fashion tourists.
The ARIA has its card tables and jingling slot machines, but the entertainment focus of the hotel is less on gaudy gambling and more on classy activities (the kinds worth dressing up for!). Start the night at one of many restaurants owned or operated by world renowned chefs, and then take in the resident Cirque du Soleil show “Zarkana” for a calm but wildly entertaining evening.
This is another perk that tends to be present in just about any Vegas hotel, but ARIA – largely by virtue of being newer, but also due to its focus – just seems a bit higher class and higher comfort. Rooms are a dream come true (the beds are often compared to clouds, and the comparison is legit!), and spa treatments are unrivaled. Plus, at ARIA, there’s actually room in and around the pools, meaning you can just lay back and relax after your massage or spa treatment. All in all, you can just relax without all the noise!
Ultimately, Vegas is Vegas, but if class and fashion are priorities for you as a traveler, it’s definitely nice to know about resort options like this one. Of course, you can still hit the clubs and casinos all you want – but the access to high-end shopping, fashion shows, and elegant dinners and performances kicks the vacation up a notch!
