Things to do around Cape Town, South Africa

Things to do around Cape Town, South Africa

Many people said Cape Town is one of the most beautiful City in the world and even if you spend a month there, you will still find yourself not seeing the area enough. However, if you have 2 weeks to spare just like me, below are my suggestion of things to do:)

(1) Cage Shark Diving

It’s an adventure to get close to the shark! But if you do not want to get wet, you can actually just stay on a boat checking out those who are brave enough to be in a wet suit:P

(2) Drive around the Cape Peninsula

Although you are in Cape town, but basically you should visit all the areas around the Cape Peninsula.  Trust me, It’s breath taking!

(3) Visit Cape Point Nature Reserve

Everyone Must visit Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope, not just because of the location! Also for the scenery and the animal(Antelope,Rock Rabbit and Baboons) 🙂

(4) Eat Seafood

Excellant Seafood options and the price is reasonable. Needless to say many restaurant had a million dollars view!

(5) Wine Tasting at Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch is a town 45 mins from Cape town and you will find Loads of Wine Estates over there. My suggestion, go to the bigger wine estates instead of the small one. They do better wine tour than the small one and the price are cheaper also. Sometimes, you might find wine estate doing Olive Oil tasting and wine tasting combine together or Chocolate tasting together. I will let you guys know more of where to go in my next post:)

(6) Shopping or using Free Wi-fi at the Waterfront

Many expensive Africa Gem jewelers and Art Galleries for you to break your bank. And most important, they provide free Wi-fit which is hard to get in TOWN!!

(7) Cable Car to table mountain

The view is awesome during the day but beware of weather because it can be really cold and windy up there.

(8) Night View of Cape town up on a mountain

If you happen to stay late, go up on a mountain again and check out beautiful Cape town at night.

(8) Robben Island

Former South Africa President Nelson Mandela was imprisoned on Robben Island for 18 of the 27 years. It’s full of history and it’s beautiful. However, pls do purchase your ferry ticket early or you would end up like me, not be able to go there because the tickets were sold out for up to 4 days later!!

(9) Visit the African Penguin

It’s unique and it’s penguin!!! GO!

Finally, if you would like to explore more about Cape town area and do more activities, I do suggest you to visit the tourist Information center.

There’s many more other activities for you to select-paragliding, abseiling off table mountain, helicopter ride, sunset cruise, etc, etc. My personal favorite with a price of a fraction will be watching sunset at Gordon’s bay! It’s a small town near cape town but it’s beautiful over there. Unfortunately I was very lazy and forget to take photo over there. So, enjoy the sunset photo I took at Gansbaai.

GREAT that you are in South Africa’s Cape Town. We enjoyed being there, even though we did not have the luxury of your 14 days. Stellenbosch was awesome and also the typical Dutch architecture. ENJOY it.
