Singapore-Stopover or Vacation?

Singapore-Stopover or Vacation?

So many people have been to singapore but mostly they were just there because it’s a stopover. But, is singapore just a good stopover point just to get into Asia or does it worth staying there couple of days to explore the city? I have been to Singapore a couple of times and to me, singapore is more than a stopover place. Why? Good food, good people and good nightlife are the keys:) Below are the things I think you should all do if you have a chance to visit Singapore:)

(1) Go and eat at the Street market

There’s just so many delicious food in Singapore in the street markets which is more authentic than eating at a proper restaurant. You can find different kind of noodle soups, the famous Bak Kut Teh “meat bone tea”, and rice dishes over there. It’s hot to eat at the market because there’s NO Air conditioning but it’s also an experience:P You can even go there to eat at a really late time of the evening and see how packed it could be. You will feel like it’s 7pm instead of 11pm as Asian people love to have a big meal even it’s almost bedtime!

(2) Ride the Cable Car

I know it might sound boring but it’s a great childhood memory for me. Whenever I think of singapore, I think of the cable car from the main island to the Resort island of Sentosa. To me, even if this is old-fashion, you need to try it:)

(3) S.E.A Aquarium

The world largest Aquarium is definitely a must see…esp you are traveling with kids. I bet they will remember singapore for life:)

(4) Hit a Bar/Club

Singapore is another international city for people from around the world to meet up. The clubs I have been to in Singapore are always packed with people. Even during the week you will find yourself meeting new friends so easily. Boredom will never exit if you travel to this vibrant city.

  3. Dearest Tammy,
Singapore is definately one of our most favorite cities. Yes, if you can, break up your trip and stay for a few nights. The food is super and the shopping, like in Orchard Street is quite an experience. So is China town. There are so many things to do, you only want to come back over and over again and it is so CLEAN and safe. Great taxis too!
