There’s 2 political parties running for election in Ghana- NDC (National Democratic Congress) and NPP( New Patriotic Party). John Mahama-who represented NDC, won the presidential election and was inaugurated on Jan 7th, 2013. I am not into politic but it’s for sure a fun day for me to be at the inauguration ceremony:)
Everyone was dressing like a royalty to attend this ceremony.
Others wore dresses with the president face printed all over the fabric!!!
Everyone were so happy… singing and dancing.
Some would played their drum when somebody arrived and tried to get some “reward”:P
To me it’s just like a carnival:P
Because I got to taste a lots of local food again! Food vendors were selling smoked fishes, barbecue, banku, chicken with rice ,etc,etc. They all tasted so yummy:)
At around 10:00am, the ceremony officially started and people were screaming with happiness!
There’s cannon firing and airforce show.
The party went on and on, people sing on and on, dance on and on!!

That indeed looked like a great carnival; a festivity of colors. Funny those presidential faces printed on fabrics! You seem to LOVE the food as you appear to have gained a few pounds in North and West Africa so far.
