Togo is derived from the local language from a word meaning ‘behind the lake’. The day I arrived the lake resort right on Lake Togo, I decided to take a boat ride around the lake.
There’s many village around lake Togo and you will see people fishing there from time to time.
Togoville(Where the name Togo come from) is right across the lake resort but I was skeptical to go there since I am NOT really into Voodoo(West Africa Vodun) thing-Martine always told me Scary things about Voodoo-the black magic in Cameroon) and I am so scared to even see animal SKULL!!! So, I have decided not to scare my audience for now and take a tour around the lake only:P If you are interested in seeing Voodoo fetish sites, you can go to Togoville to check it out! However, I will explain more about Voodoo when I get to Benin:) and explain how the Slave bought the “Vodun” to Caribbean and Brasil and affect the culture over there.
It’s a really relaxing ride and I got to see some local trying to catch shrimp.
I have seen so many rich people building resort over there, some resort even have water slides inside!
The boat ride last for 1 1/2 hours and it’s hard work propelling the boat with the long pole! Thanks so much:)
Wow beautiful how is your back and neck??? I think I would be scared too to see an animal scull but voodoo has a very interesting background.

Dearest Tammy,
The surroundings of Lac Togo look really exotic and lush green. Yes, you constantly have to make decisions as to what to go for and not… Stay safe and enjoy.
Hugs,
Mariette
Cool shots! Ahh Voodoo?! I think I’d be a bit scared to check it out too. It seems like it would be a crazy experience!
