Have you guys ever heard of the Blue Hole? There are several Blue holes in this world, the deepest one being in Bahamas but the most famous one is in Belize. My ultimate goal to belize is to Dive in the blue hole. it’s a drama when I was determined to do that! Why? Well, when I first arrived this little country, the weather was so nice…….
I checked out the dive shop in Cave Caulker-It’s US$250 for 2 tanks dive in the Blue Hole.
I reseved 3 night for my beachfront hotel:P
But then the next day, people from the hotel told me that there’s an emergency evacuation for all tourists because Hurricane was coming!! All tourist MUST leave the island or we would be in danger!
@_@ I was told I cannot even stayed in Mainland Belize because the whole country is actually below sea level and I only had 3 choices-one was to go back to Guatemala , one was to go to Honduras or I could go to Mexico! Ofcourse I picked Mexico because if I head to Honduras, that’s mean I would NOT go back to Belize! BUT I WOULD NOT LEAVE WITHOUT diving in the Blue Hole!. So, I was stucked in Playa de Carmen, a very touristic town for 2 days! See ya Belize:P
Found a nice hotel for US $50:)
People did Kite surfing in this weather!!!Awesome:)
Even after I adjusted the photos, you guys can see the cloudy sky right????
Because THIS was behind the scene:P…….pouring rain and flooding!!!
But it turned out to be just a Tropical Storm at the end!!!!….@_@ After 2 days I went back to Belize and went diving in the blue hole. It’s kind of disappointing because there’s NOTHING much to see down under the blue hole. It’s really a matter of experience of seeing what’s inside. I saw some sharks and some fishes. It can never be compared with diving in The Colorful Great Barries Reef in Australia!! The next day, I went snorkeling with Ray and Manatee🙂 It’s awesome when compared to Scuba Diving in the Blue hole.
The water should be more clear if NOT because of the tropical storm..but still it’s very clear.
Manatee are so cute:)
My experience in Belize was OK. I originally planned to do a lot more in this country-like zip lining in a jungle and swimming with Manatee in another town in Belize. But due to the weather, I needed to change my whole plan and also because the transportation sucks in Belize also. People were very Money orientated and everything was expensive but NOT worth it. Food and drink were really bad! If anyone have better experience in Belize than I have, pls let me know….ahahhaahahha. Cheers everyone:)
Nice pictures 🙂 Seems like u had fun 😀

Why couldn’t you go back to Belize if you went to Honduras?
I thought Belize was OK. I went with some friends and the company made the trip fun, but the country itself was just “ok”. It’s a good spot for tourists on a budget… not many high(er) end accommodation options which I sometimes like if I’m going some place tropical!
JustWanderlustBlog recently posted..A Revelation In Buenos Aires
ah..cus if I head to Honduras, there is NTH much to see near the border and I need to go all the way either to the caribbean side(which I am not interested) or go all the way to copan! It will be so far way to go back and my next stop need to be El Salvador after Honduras:)..Oh, I have a difference opinion, I do not think Belize is CHeap when compare to other central america places!! Maybe I stayed right on the island-and food and drink are expensive when compare to mexico and Guatemala!! and transportation is super retarded….cheap for bus but taxi is super expensive!! Accommodation is expensive too while compare to guatemala. While I was in Guatemala, I can find a cheap hotel for US$15..in Belize?? NO WAY:) That’s why Belie is my least favorite country in Central America:) How much you pay for your trip? What company you are talking about?
haha i love how the experiences we each had are so different! I went with my friends so they were my “company” (i.e., companions). I think I spent 5-6 nights there and spent maybe around $700? I don’t remember the food being that expensive but honestly I don’t really remember! I didn’t take any busses or taxis while I was there – there were people that provided all of our transportation because we went through a local tour company. In central america I’ve only been to Belize, Costa Rica, and Panama and I think it was the cheapest of those places. Mexico isn’t cheap but then again, I’ve only gone to the big touristy spots like Cabo, Cancun, and PV so I know they overcharge there. I want to go to Guatemala!
