Australia-Outback Aboriginal Style

Australia-Outback Aboriginal Style

I was so fortunate to have lived in Melbourne Australia for 3 months since my Ex-Boyfriend was from there and I went to Australia pretty often just to visit him. During that period, I have visited almost all the major cities and tourist attractions. After almost 5 years later, I have the opportunities to go back again but since I love NATURE, I picked outback-Australia this time. Ayer’s Rock(Uluru) was absolutely beautiful and peaceful! Nothing can compare when you have your world in your own hand:)

I went to have outdoor dinner during sunset. When it got dark outside, the event people presented an amazing seminar about the astronomy of the southern hemisphere. IT’s SO amazing to have all the stars above me, it’s just breath-taking:) Amazing memories:)

Hiking at kata Tjuta(The Olgas), Australia

Then head to visit the Aboriginal people:)

And Pretend to be one by trying to throw stick:P

Cheers everyone:)

    • hmm, I think Melbourne..cus I really have a lot of memories there:) you know sometimes you like a place was not because how beautiful the place is, it’s what kind of memories you have in that place. What do you think? And I have to tell you, I do not have a very nice memories in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Well, maybe you should show me around and let me have a nice experience again for Holland:)ahahahah. Cheers

  8. hi Tammy! That is so cool that visited Ayers! How long did you stay by the rock? Is it a weekend trip? I’ve always debated whether or not to go visit this place and was always unsure if it’s worth the trek to the “middle of nowhere”. What are your thoughts?

    • Hey Diana,

I stayed in Ayers Rock and Alice spring for around 6 days. There’s not much to do over there except hiking the big rock(uluru) and Kata Tjuta (The Olgas):P. Everything was so expensive over there but we had no choice because it’s in the middle of NO WHERE!!. There is NO hostel and the hotels are super expensive. There’s a lot of expensive activities you can do like hiking King’s canyon, visit the aboriginal village, sunset dinner and stars viewing at night, etc. Remembered to rent a car a month ahead because when me and my friend got there, there’s no more car for rental and we had to stick with all the expensive activities!I remembered by the end of the day, me and my friend are just staying by the pool reading magazine! We did went to all the activities I had mentioned but I would suggest a weekend trip is enough if you are not HARD CORE crazy travelers. You can also do camping if you want to experience the outback lifestyle. One thing VERY IMPORTANT I need to tell you, DON’T go there during summertime! I heard there millions of flies in the summer time and it’s so hot in the summer. I suggest you to go during there during winter time. I remembered I went there in August 2009, the weather is supper nice. Hope this help and at the end of the day, I think it’s still worth it:) Cheers

      • wow, great tips (especially the one about avoiding the summer – i hate flies/fleas/insects) – thanks! I can’t believe you stayed for 6 days! that seems so long to be in the middle of nowhere, haha… but looks like it was a good experience nonetheless which is what traveling is all about! 🙂
